Ending child hunger is not only about food, it’s about justice, awareness, and action. At ACFI, we believe that real, lasting change happens when communities are empowered to speak out and decision-makers are held accountable for protecting children’s rights. That’s why advocacy and awareness are at the heart of everything we do.
ACFI works hand-in-hand with local leaders, parents, teachers, and youth to create strong, grassroots advocacy networks. These groups raise their voices to demand better services, hold institutions accountable, and shape conversations around child nutrition, food access, and school feeding programs. We train local advocates to engage with policymakers, organize dialogues, and participate in budget processes, ensuring that community priorities are heard and acted upon.
Through school programs, radio talk shows, community events, and print materials, we run educational campaigns on the importance of proper nutrition, especially during early childhood and school years. These campaigns address harmful myths, promote healthy feeding practices, and encourage public support for nutrition-focused policies. Whether it’s a mother learning to prepare nutritious meals or a district official pushing for school feeding funding, awareness fuels behavioral change and political will.
