Feeding and Nutrition

To promote economic self-reliance, ACFI offers vocational skills training and supports income-generating activities for caregivers of vulnerable children, helping them sustainably provide for their families.

Behind every well fed child is a caregiver striving to provide, often with limited resources, few opportunities, and overwhelming challenges. ACFI, we know that addressing child hunger requires more than a meal, it requires empowering families, especially the women who bear the burden of care, with the tools to stand on their own.

To break the cycle of poverty and hunger, ACFI equips caregivers of vulnerable children, many of whom are single mothers, grandmothers, or guardians, with practical skills and financial support to help them create sustainable livelihoods through:

Vocational Skills Training
We offer hands-on training in high-demand skills such as tailoring, soap-making, agriculture, and food processing. These skills are chosen based on market needs and local context, ensuring that participants can earn income and meet household needs with dignity.

Income-Generating Activities (IGAs)
Beyond training, ACFI provides start-up kits, small grants, and business mentorship to help caregivers launch or strengthen small businesses. From backyard poultry farms to craft enterprises, these IGAs increase household income and improve families’ ability to afford food, school supplies, and healthcare.

Our Impact

  1. Families that once struggled to feed their children now run sustainable small businesses.
  2. Women who lacked confidence are now skilled entrepreneurs and community leaders.
  3. Children raised in these households benefit from better food, education, and care.
